| The Irish Dachshund Club Special Group Championship Show was held on Friday, 29th May 2009 at The National Show Centre, Cloghran, Co. Dublin. The judges were Mrs I Małecka and Mrs D
Witkowska, both from Polland. The show was held in conjunction with the European Winner's Show, held in Dublin the following day, so giving this show a huge entry of 222 dogs, from Ireland, UK, France, Russia, Hungary, the Netherlands, and many other countries.
