*New* Circuit Results & Simple Diagram and Scheme of Judging of Dachshund Teeth

The Irish Dachshund Club Club Show will be held on Sunday, the 24th of October at St. Colmcille's GFC, Applewood, Swords, Co. Dublin. The judge will be Mr M Moilanen from Sweden, a Dachshund specialist. The following day, a Bank Holiday Monday, Bull Breeds All-Breed Ch Show, will be held at the nearby National Show Centre, Cloghran, Co. Dublin.

Directions to St. Colmcille's GFC, Applewood, Swords, Co. Dublin:

On the M1, take the junction 4 slip road for Swords North and R132. At the top of this slip road turn left for Lissenhall Little R132. At the end of this road, take third exit for Swords North and Balheary Road. At the Traffic Lights turn right on Balheary road. Take next left at the next Traffic Lights, and St. Colmcille's will be on your left.

Irish Kennel Club Notices

The Irish Kennel Club has finalised the procedure of measuring Miniatures and Kaninchens in Ireland. The official guidelines can be seen here.

Also, the FCI has sent a letter to all member Kennel Clubs asking about show procedure in the individual countries. The Irish Kennel Club has drafted an initial reply (see) and is asking member clubs of the IKC to give their opinions. The FCI questionnaire can be seen here, and the draft IKC reply here. Any thoughts by our club members to the questionnaire which they would like the IKC to hear can contact the secretary.

The Irish Dachshund Club is affiliated to The Irish Kennel Club (IKC), which is a full member of the Fédération Cynologique Internationale (FCI).

Founded in 1932, it is today the only club affliated to the IKC solely devoted to Dachshunds. The Club runs a Group Championship Show every year, and also holds other events throughout the year, including Working Trials for Dachshunds. For membership details, see the Committee and Membership page.
